1991 242 S/W : Interchangeability Problem : Front Seats 200 1991

Removed Rt Front seat and separated the seat Back from the Cushion. There is a small panel on each side of the rear, bottom section of the Back. The Rt side of the panel contains the Adjustment wheel for the repositioning of the Back. The left side of the Back has a blank panel.

I am having a problem with removing the panels to access the mechanism for disassembly. I want to transfer the Adjustment wheel to the Left side of the seat Back.

Are the panels supposed to be removed to access the mechanism, or am I going about this incorrectly?

Please advise.

Thank you for the courtesies.
