1992 740 Relay issue?

Um, did you already do the maint on the relay sockets I suggested? That is much more important, based off the sysmptoms you gave, than getting a new relay. My guess is, that a spade lug not making sufficient contact or a borken wire is your problem...barring that, I would say it is a flaky relay.

To find out, take the cover off that specific relay and drive around without it. When the car starts to stall, push the contacts on the relay closed (careful, them may be vary hot). That does not elliminate a wiring problem but it narrows you search to one relay socket.
