Don't take the pulley apart... 200 1984

...at least not at first.

You described it well, Harry. But it is a PITA procedure that can often be avoided by just removing the pulley bolt (see rope trick) and removing the pulley as done on the B230.

Unless the AC belt is super tight, it will allow the pulley to be removed this way. If not, you'll have to do it the long, tedious "correct" way.

Of course the alternator belts must be freed from the pulley first.
