Blower Replacement - Modified Chainsaw Method 200

Hey Jeff,

I can't help you with the funnel part, but I can say your need for a resistor depends on how the blower failed. If it died slowly, getting harder and harder to keep it going in anything but top speed, the resistor has most likely had it. On the other hand, if it just died poof, and it is dead on all the speeds, the resistor is likely undamaged. The resistor is damaged when the bushings seize up leading to locked or nearly locked rotor currents without any air to cool it. It has been a long time, but I'd say if you can get the motor out, with whatever method, you can change the resistor piece of cake.
