Automatic shifter broken 200

I tried to get my 92 out of park. I thought it was fuse #7 as my brake lights were out also. I replaced the fuse from what supply I had and none worked. I was out of town on a Sunday and nowhere to get any fuses. I pulled on the shifter and heard a snap. Now the car freely goes into any gear. Can this be repaired and how difficult is it? I have since replaced the fuse and the brake lights work fine but the shifter still moves freely.
