HELP!!: Sudden idling rpm increase at the operating temp... 200 1982

Greetings to you all.

My ’82 (with K-Jet, B21F-MPG), has developed an idling issue (again.) It always starts just fine but when it is cold out side, the idle is very low, rough and sometimes it stalls before the engine warms up completely. Since the ambient temp is warmer now, it no longer stalls initially, although I think it still idles a bit rough and low. The bigger issue is that it idles high, suddenly (up to around 2300+/- rpm). It seems that it happens after the engine is at the operating temp. It doesn’t happen always either…

When it had poor idling issues (it did not keep running for more than 5 sec…) last year I worked on the CIS system. I have replaced faulty Air Control Valve with a new along with the cold start injector and thermal time switch. Since then the brick has been running just fine until recently with this issue above.

I am no expert on the FI system…or could it be something else? ANY help/suggestions are appreciated!!

Toshi
