FYI, for the ultimate in adjust-ability, a machine shop 3 doors down from mine makes custom dual point distributors.

They cost $500.00 and use a trick fully adjustable mechanical advance mechanism.

He builds them with needle bearings for the lower end of the shaft and a ball bearing for the upper half, good to 10,000+ RPMs.

For an additional charge, he can make them with an magnetic pickup for use with compatible electronic ignition systems.

Also for an additional charge, a retard option is available in case you have forced induction or nitrous oxide.
