Newb Question: Drivers side drum dragging 120-130

Hi y'all.
These are the pics i took. I used a heavy duty snap-on drum puller to get the drum off. It came of with a loud pop. Here is what I saw inside:

I then inspected the drum and realized there is a little missing piece of the lip that goes against the brake "back"(where everything is mounted)
I took a little sand paper and cleaned it up.

After reassembly, things worked a bit better. Not like the passenger side but at least turnable by hand.

What do y'all think, is it because of that missing little piece, how does everything else look? This is my first time messing with drum brakes (EEEK!)
