Ignition Switch Replacement- How Difficult? 200 1993

The blind-groping difficulty of this task always leaves me wondering why, in this of all places, Volvo decided to use plain, slotted fasteners. Phillips, Allen, even Torx would be better. Anything to help keep the tool IN the head of the fastener. I'm with Dan. From the top or from underneath, it just takes a lot of patience. I find that an Enderle small screwdriver works well for this. The head of the slotted bit is thicker than your average "small" screwdriver and this helps keep the tool in the slot a little better.
