240/740 Wheel Interchangeability ?? 700 1988

Hi. As my 1988 740GL wagon is dead I was thinking of taking wheels/tires from it and putting them on 1987 240DL sedan. 740 tires are in good shape whereas 240 tires are in poor shape so hence my wanting to do this. 240 tires are 195/70R14 and its wheels are(reading clockwise): 5.5Jx14x20 Volvo 1359670 7116191 Germany 1426 740 tires are 185/70R14 and itsheels are(reading clockwise) : 5.5Jx14x25 K4 Germany 6040 1387 159 Volvo . Is this doable and is it ok to do so ?? Thanks
P.S. - Am posting this in both 200 and 700 areas
