brake fluid? 444-544

Hello,

We recommend DOT 4.

Volvo used DOT 4 because the original brake parts were made with natural rubber.

Although your new brake parts are probably made with synthetic rubber, you never know, so you should use DOT 4.

We do not recommend DOT 5 and most racing brake fluids, especially if the vehicle has a brake light switch that is operated by brake fluid pressure.

DOT 5 and racing brake fluid usually ruin these brake light switches.
