new to 940s: 2-4-1 ignition fault code, and an ABS brake question

Hi all,

After owning 5 240s, I took the plunge on a '95 940. Got it dirt cheap, 130K miles, runs great. Two quirks:

- I get a check engine light that returns a 2-4-1 code from the ignition unit. This is a fault code for "Poor EGR flow", and it says it should result in poor idling. The car idles perfectly, and the flame trap is clean as a whistle. Plugged up breather box maybe?

- When I bought the car (from a multiple Volvo owner and do-it-yourselfer), he said "It needs brake rotors", and indeed it pulses when braking. But it's a slower pulse, feeling more like the ABS is engaging rather than a warped rotor. Is there a good way to identify the real problem?

It also has a significant vibration in the exhaust at idle. Don't know if this is a factor or not.
