Heated side mirror glass removal? 200 1992

These are a little tricky. These later 240 mirrors are just like those found on the 1991+ 700/900s. See the picture below.



The mirror is held on by the little fingers on each side of the little round post. I remove the mirror by pulling out on it at the outside until I can see the fingers. Then I use a hook took to spring the fingers loose on each side of one pin. Keep pulling the mirror out, and insert something thin between the mirror and the plastic it attaches to. Otherwise, when you quit pulling out on the mirror, it will spring back and re-hook itself. Once you have one pair of pins released and prevented from re-attaching, go to the next pair of fingers and repeat the process.
