Ice Patch Fun 200 1983

Backing out of my driveway yesterday, a small ice chunk seemed to get caught in front, sounded like the driver's side. Made a dragging sound, after a short distance moving forward (less than a block), I turned the car around and it seemed to suddenly break free. Drove about 10 miles without hearing the sound.

Today, however, there's a thump-thump-thump sound from that area, more frequent with speed (tires-brakes?). The front end also now seems bouncy (but the roads have really been chewed up with the storms/plows). Braking is normal, car otherwise running fine as usual.

Took a look under there (around wheel and vicinity) with a bright light, no obvious obstruction. Hosed off the area to remove dirt.

Any guesses as to where something might be stuck or what might have been damaged?
