My 94-940 wagon got broadsided, need insurance advice on claim for old car

Ok, my 940 wagon, 224k, was in fine mechanical condition. Past summer, took the family, all our gear, and towed a boat over 2,000 miles.
So she ran fine...Until yesterday

Got cleaned out by a driver who was exiting a gas station, plow truck without plow, managed to juke enough not to hit fronts, but he was accerating, and punched my side doors, got the rocker panels and the piller between the doors, just nicked the rear wheel well.

I have two doors I coul put on, but the bent piller will end up totalling the car.

Police said he was 100% at fault, failure to yield right of way.

I have no collision, but since he hit me, his insurance should pay no?

They will likely offer me what, $500?

How do you get them to go up, replacement cars cost $1,800 for the same mialage, not to mention going though the mechanicals to make sure the thing runs like a brick should (calipers, engin seals, timing belts, all the stuff we do to old neglected cars to get them to run well)

What do you think they will offer, and how to you get them to take into account condition?

How do you buy it back from them at what they would get from a junkyard?
