deep rumble/vibration 200 1988

sorry if there is a thread about this that already could have my answer... i couldnt think how to word it differently to search. i just kept getting threads on sport exhaust...

so for a long time the car would do a really deep vibration/rumble, very bassy, if put in 2nd at too low of a speed. so i just figured, that was just what happens. it would never do it any other time.

now it does A LOT. and all of a sudden. two days ago it was fine. drove to school, drove home, the wife, kid and i went to toys r us, sears, and the gas station. drove home. then we left home to go to the inlaws and there it was. and we both noticed it right away. then we got on the freeway and it was really bad.

if i take my foot off the gas(or put the clutch in) while doing 60 it stops. at 40-45 its not there, but starts around 50-55.

seems to happen at different speeds depending on what gear you are in, makes me think its not wheel speed related, but rpm related

any thoughts?
thanks
