1988 240DL, B230F, will not fire up after timing belt change-out 200

You can check for TDC with a stick in #1 cylinder to see if 0 is correct, the cam is pretty easy to see being on top. The intermediate shaft is the tough one to see, that is where the mirror comes in handy so you can get a head on look at the mark, also the tick mark on the distributor is helpful.
As Art said the computers are pretty robust and available cheaply on ebay. It doesn' hurt to have a spare on hand.
