Wiring puzzle for the evening 200 1983

First, this is not a critical issue, just a brain and research teaser.

I have an 83 coupe with the interior torn out to fix a gaping hole in the floor boards. It's undoubtedly one of the messiest interiors I've ever done. However it also provided over $3 in change....cha-ching! That will cover the Rust-O-Leum Almond for the floor repair, which matches the car's color almost perfectly.

I digress.

Among the other things, I found a short, clearly Volvo jumper cable, under the galvanized floor filler panel by the fuse panel. Blue wire, un-inusulated male spade terminals on both ends, 118mm long (chuckle). The little red identifier sleeve on it says M 1234705.

I've been looking over the schematics, but haven't found a reference yet. Any ideas out there? Before I took the interior out, I had everything working, except the radio.

Cheers!

Dave
