Ecodes installed but not as bright as expected. 200 1985

Three out of four of my lighting problems have been due to wiring and/or connector issues - not the bulbs or switches.

You need to have a decent voltmeter or multimeter and probe voltage at the input spade terminal of the low beams (should be close to battery voltage, maybe 1/2 volt diff.), and the high beam (ditto), then measure voltage between the ground terminal of each bulb and the battery negative post. That one should be close to zero.

If you get readings different from the above, work your way back through the wiring to find the bad connection.

Final thought: get out in front of the car in the dark and look closely at the high beam bulbs when on low beam. High beam should have no "glow" to them at all. Otherwise, wiring is not correct, or there is a lack of proper grounding.
