Something I have never seen 200 1991

I had a 90 245 that I rescued this past January develop a bad balancer and the result was exactly what Tony is saying with the timing gear notch being busted off. So essentially if that happened then the crank would spin but the pulley and timing belt would have nothing to attach it self to the spinning crankshaft.

Hopefully the seal started leaking after the balancer went to pieces rather than someone burning up the engine but then I guess it would have been seized.
