I have a European (not US version) 1991 240 that did not have an airbag from the factory. I thought it might be nice to add one. Has anybody ever done this? Anybody know what exactly I would need?
I found this drawing while searching for info: http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/pp343/TIPSP/For%20Sale%20Items/My%20Drawings/VADIS.jpg
It looks to me like I would need the following:
1) sensor
2) wiring harness
3) bracket
4) clip
5) sensor hold down screw x 2
6) clamp
7) wiring harness hold down screw
8) wiring harness (I'll have to check if this is already present)
9) standby power unit
10) Steering Wheel (if it is indeed different)
11) screw for the airbag (if it is different)
12) Air Bag
13) another wiring harness
14) Contact Wheel (is this the clock spring I read about?)
