Volvo 240 A/C Clutch Repair -- shim removal 200

Gents, sorry if this is old news but thought I would post this with the warm weather and since I just fixed my a/c in my 1993 Volvo 245 (seiko compressor) and am very jacked! It was the classic condition of no a/c when hot. I found I could kick the clutch over with a stick to get it to turn. The gap between the clutch plates was about .20. I pulled the air cleaner box, removed the hex screw, pulled off the face plate, pulled off 1 of the 3 shims and bingo. Works great. Took me about 45 minutes start to finish. Not sure why I had been holding off for so long. Best, Rob
