Trunk lid open adjustment 120-130

The simple answer is NO. Here's my experience with my 1960 Amazon-S. Mine have also weakened, possibly due to some added weight from body work and extra coats of new paint and clear coat. I thought like you there was an adjustment, but consulting the 122 Body green book, apparently not. There are 2 torsion rods and Volvo have a special tool (something like a tie rod pickle) that allows you to release the tension. Since the torsion rods are under compression, be extremely careful if you decide to remove them by prying them loose. I have not tried because this would most likely flake off the paint. My solution, short of finding stronger torsion rods, is to use a wooden stick.
