Fender Repair PV – Stone Guard Mounting Hole Locations 444-544

Patching up the driver’s side rear fender on the ‘63 PV. Much metal missing, including a large section that was covered by the Stone Guard.

After replace the missing metal with new sheet metal, I will loose the exact position of the Stone Guard mount holes. I have not ordered the new stone guards yet, so I do not even have them as a reference.

Any recommendations as to how to ensure that I drill the holes in the proper location?

I did a template from the right rear fender holes, but that fender was dented and I had to beet it back out, plus some of the holes have been elongated.

So, what is the best method to ensure that the stone guards will fit properly?
