Which TRW rack? 700 1991

I might be replacing the right steering rack in my 740; when I raised that wheel off the ground and wiggled the wheel, I saw the tie rod move back and forth (as opposite to freeplay by the ball joint). I take my car has the TRW rack but I do not know if it has the 14mm or the 18mm threads. Now, looking at the pictures in http://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/FrontSuspension.htm#TieRodReplacement, is it me or the 18mm thread one has no flats at the steering rack end?
