M46 transplant question 200 1982

Your 82 should have the hole for the clutch cable. My 84 had the hole but the biggest problem is installing the clutch peddle.
You should remove at least the gauge cluster if not the dash.Laying on your back all twisted like a pretzel isn't great and after comes the soreness and recovery. Make sure you have everything you need.Having the flywheel resurfaced is a good idea and when you install the flywheel wear gloves,I made the mistake of no gloves and got a bad cut that sucker was reel sharp. Good Luck it was worth it.
