Check for failed injector 200 1988

There's a quicker and less hazardous way to look for an injector stuck open, or a fuel pressure regulator fault. Instead of cranking the motor, just use a jumper between fuse 4 and 6 to operate the fuel pumps with the ignition key safely in your pocket.

A gentle squeeze of the return hose will give you tactile and aural feedback of flow with nothing but the quiet hum of the pumps to mask it. If an injector is open, the smell will be obvious if the accordion hose is loosened and the throttle opened.
