123 Distributor install help - B20F

If I removed the old distributor with the motor at 10btdc and rotor pointing at #1 position, that = firing position for #1, correct? These distributors can't be installed 180 degrees out due to the offset drive, right? So, installing the new dist. should be as simple as dropping the new unit in and static timing the system. Not really any chance to get it upside down, right? So what else might be the reason I get no start with this brand new 123-Distributor?
