abs brakes keep coming on for no reason 93 volvo 200

Almost every time we apply the brakes even at slow speeds the abs is kicking on. Any ideas on where to start? It has been doing this off and on for quite awhile. Normally it stops after a couple stops. Today it just kept on jumping on me. ( the brake pedal ) Help?
