Thanks for your reply.

The fluid is clean now. I ran ATF for a few hundred miles as a kind of flush, then put in the redline. The fluid that I drained initially was black and the drain plug magnet had a good fuzz on it. No chunks that I remember.

So hopefully 5th is ok. I'm probably headed towards the failure described in Chris' post that I linked to above.

I'll keep an eye out for a transmission.
