Hi Swedish Baklava and Wolfsden,
Yep, Swedish Baklava, may wire up from within like you. Sort of like how I believe Subaru and Toyota do so in their rear-hatch equipped vehicles as the hinges are inside the passenger cabin, only exposed to outdoor when the rear hatch / tail gate us up. No real severe cranking or folding like on our cars.
(Does 700 and 900 ddo this, too? I forget.)

The hinges remain about perfect, even though they are a pull from the gold 1992 240 at a Portland, OR junkyard in 2006 or so. No sag.

Yet now, in Slovenly City, there is an apparent 200 million $ stadium to go up without a major league soccer team in it. Some how to make up for the loss of the stupid NFL Rams. Would have been so much cheaper to keep the Bidwill family NFL Cardinals in St. Louis; rightly stolen from Chicago in the 1960s or so.

All works now, yet these wires at the hinges are fraying, so, well, we'll see.
May get CO-state plates on these three Volvo 240 cars, and soon. Or better, Finland.
