Coating new Orings during r12 to 134a conversion

Still waiting for the new expansion valve for the 89 240 AC conversion.

I will be replacing as many Orings in the system as possible. Prior to embarking on this conversion I read through many posts on the subject. I remember one that indicated that coating any new Orings with Ester oil was an invitation for leakage. It was recommended that mineral oil be used instead. I can't find any reference to this on additional Google searches.

Anyone care to weigh in on this topic of the proper oil to lube the new Orings with? I am not excited about purchasing a container of mineral oil for the small amount I would need for this task.

Randy
