Newbie questions about vintage Volvos

Hi Volvo Folks

First post on here....I have been looking at possibly purchasing a vintage Volvo, we are looking for something to be used on nice days and put in daily service when we need a spare vehicle...I saw an episode of "Cars and Coffee" with Jerry Seinfeld and he was running around town in a Volvo Amazon and then I have always like the looks of the PV series Volvo as I love the looks of that vintage car era...

If you were just starting your journey with these vehicles would you choose a PV series or more modern Amazon vehicle??

I have found 2 of them (Amazons) local to me...one is a driver for $5000.00 and one is project for $3000.00...still waiting on more pics of the floor pans and the undersides on both of them...
