Cruise Control Installation Q 200 78

The PO installed an aftermarket CC in our 1978 244. It doesn't work anymore. I believe that factory CC was not available in 1978, even as an option. I've seen factory CC on plenty of newer 240s at the salvage yards, though. And I like the factory CC in our 1984 245.

Has anyone out there taken a Volvo factory CC out of a later 240 and installed it in an early 240? I'd be very interested in hearing about how tough this is. And any tips/tricks to make it easier.

I assume I should find a donor car with a B21F and pay close attention to how the donor car is wired, so I can duplicate it on my own car?
