timing belt worries 700 1990

1)

Just changed my timing belt.. changed the belt tensioner as well.

Now whenever it's running, I notice different, louder than before sound coming from under the timing belt cover.. I think it's coming from the new tensioner. I wouldn't be so paranoid about it, except I'm driving about 2,000 miles in a week.. Changing a timing belt on a b230 isn't a roadside repair..

If one of you guys reply and tell me you noticed the same thing after changing your belt, I'd feel a whole lot better!

I followed the proceedure exactly as outlined in the Faq, including releasing and retightening the tensioner..

2)

Also, I noticed more power low end torque since I changed my belt.. am I crazy, or is it possible my old one was stretching a little and knocking the timing off slightly?
