I'm cynical -- and cheap -- as hell. I think that's an intentional strategy at all discount muffler shops -- design the mufflers to last 6 months, proclaim their "wonderful warranty", and take customers to the cleaners on ancillary stuff like pipes, clamps, gaskets, hangers. And outrageous labor charges.

It's incredible that they continue to have customers -- but when you realize the average IQ is only 100, and you understand what that means, then you know why people keep going back.

Their strategy is unethical and immoral -- it's too bad it's not illegal.

I have been very happy with Volvo mufflers and kits for 26 loyal years of Volvo ownership. Even they're the most expensive, they're really the most cost effective in the fullness of time.
