Re: Still quiting when driving

The starting sequence is:

Turn key to start

Power goes to ECU

ECU sends power to Hall Effect Sensor in distributor

Engine turns over

Pulses are sent from distributor to ECU

ECU grounds fuel pump relay

Relay sends power to fuel pump

ECU sends timing spark info to power amplifier

Power amplifer sends pulse to coil primary

Coil sends HV power to distributor

Distributor sends HV to correct spark plug

When the car does not start do you have spark? If so the Hall Effect

sensor is ok.

If not check the output of the distributor and see if the output changes

from 2 to 10 volts as you turn the engine over by hand (power on but

the coil disconnected.
