I'd like to pour some whine!!! ALL

hello all....i've owned various bricks for 24+ years now, and it is only recently that I've become a little disgruntled in the mark....currently own an '87 744, 197K, (generally runs great, but top surface paint has peeled over the years after meticulous care); '93 965, 123K, (recent purchase-a million little things; bought this one used-my fault), and a '95 854, 63K, (great car but have replaced the stupid shift lock release micro switch 4 times all under warranty, thank God.....last week switch gives up the ghost again, dealer says, "Sorry...even though the switch is a piece of crap and we know it, the repair is now on you".....anyway, have given thought to purchase of latest V70, but am very apprehensive....asked dealer if the new cars are as, or any more reliable than previous cars, they say, "Well, they ARE critically engineered you know...."...translation, sounds to me, they are un-reliable at best.....thanxxx for letting me vent; would appreciated a pat on back and opinions on latest cars........or is it time to get to know Honda or Toyota (perish the thought...)....
