Hard Cold Start:RPM Sensor? 200 92

My 92 245(160,xxx) has been a hard starter for a while.

I have gone through and replaced things that I thought might be causing the hard starting, including tuneup stuff(cap, rotor, plugs) and a new battery. I just put in a new o2 sensor(didnt effect the starting problem, but did take care of mpg and the diagnostic code/check engine light).

Here's how the car sounds when I start it cold(I wish I had a sound file for you all, but here it is).... Ruh,Ruh,Ruh,Ruh,RRRRRRRuuh,RRRRRRRRRuh, RRRRRRRRRuh, Ruh,Ruh,Ruh,Ruh,. meaning, the engine turns over quickly a few times, then slows down(almost like the battery is low(which it isnt now))to the point that it is just barely turning over. Then it seems to flood or something, and I have a real hard time starting it. I have always been able to get it started, but sometimes just barely

Today I got a diagnostic code for the ignition system: 214: RPM sensor problem.

My question: Whats up....any thoughts are welcome.

Thanks in advance, Steve
