clutch problem 200 81

Hi,

My step-daughter`s 81 244 has a clutch problem in which the clutch won`t engage. The car will go into gear easily but won`t move forward when the clutch is released. The clutch is fairly new, maybe has 4000 miles on it. Any idea what we are looking at here?
