Re: What is maximum crusing speed for B230F? 700 1992

Yeah, MPG would be my biggest worry about driving at 100MPH. We just came back from the beach yesterday in the wife's 940. It has a 4.10 rear, so 80MPH ~ 3200RPM. Cruising at that speed is quiet enough, and MPG is somewhere between 24-25 (as opposed to 26+ at 60MPH.) I don't think I'd want to take it much faster for a long period, though - too noisy, too costly (fuel-wise.)

Ideally, you could run an oil temp, oil pressure and tranny fluid temp gauge to make sure you weren't unduly stressing either the engine or the tranny - but I seriously doubt that you would at 100MPH. At top speed, well, I wouldn't recommend it for 3 hours, that's for sure.
