Yeah, MPG would be my biggest worry about driving at 100MPH. We just came back from the beach yesterday in the wife's 940. It has a 4.10 rear, so 80MPH ~ 3200RPM. Cruising at that speed is quiet enough, and MPG is somewhere between 24-25 (as opposed to 26+ at 60MPH.) I don't think I'd want to take it much faster for a long period, though - too noisy, too costly (fuel-wise.)
Ideally, you could run an oil temp, oil pressure and tranny fluid temp gauge to make sure you weren't unduly stressing either the engine or the tranny - but I seriously doubt that you would at 100MPH. At top speed, well, I wouldn't recommend it for 3 hours, that's for sure.
