Avice for brake job 700 88

Hi All:

I'd like to rebuild one of my front calipers and replace front rotors and need some advice.

1. If I buy the seals, can I fine sand and re-use the existing piston? (now it's sticking)

2. I have rebuilt a caliper in another car: I popped the piston out by depressing the brake pedal while the caliper was off the rotor. Is there anything wrong with this method? What are the other alternatives?

3. What tools will I need (wrenches and sizes)? Anything to pay particular attention to?

4. Do I have to replace the pads with the rotors? Existing ones are about 1 year old.

Thank you very much in advance for answering!

Jean
