$20 Wiring Harness Update

Well, I finally got around to installing my "bargain" harness due to driveability problems last weekend. I am actually amazed that the car ran at all amd as well as it did. The old harness was swiss cheese, cobbled and taped. I did have to get 2 connectors off my old harness, the Idle Control Valve connector and a gray connector I have no idea what it is. The new harness is in great shape, still had yellow attachment tape and part number sticker and all wires in like new condition. I went ahead and removed the intake manifold and TB to clean them. What a dirty mess that was. Anyway, I installed the harness one night the next I got the manifold and TB back on. Started it up and it idled at a very high 3000 rpm. Based on the archives I looked first at the ICV and it's connection. The connector from the old harness did not have the same color coding as the harness (repalcement) so I could have possibly wired incorrectly. So with the car screaming like a banshee pulled that connector and it settled "somewhat" at 950 rpm. As soon as I would touch it to the ICV screaming would return. I pulled the valve and am in the process of cleaning it better and I am going to check how the connector is wired.

Bottom line is, I am almost there and even with it's present irregular idle it is worlds above where it was before. And it's much quieter.
