What is normal slipage with a AW71 700

My tranny shifts fine and performs normal except when in OD.
For example when cruising with cruise control at highway speed (55mph), if I come to a grade the throttle goes down and revs jump 400 to 500 rpm to keep speed up. Mostly does it with boost. I always figured 150-200 rpms not 400-500 rpm. Is she dying a slow death or is this in the normal range. Also once the revs come up she takes off. It's just really irratating on the gas mileage.
65 mph and 2500 rpm and all of sudden you come to a hill and poof 2900-3000
rpms. 1st through 3rd is fine and it shifts fine into 4th.
