i went to the junkyard with my uncle yesterday but they wouldn't let me in because i'm 17. so after running around the place trying to find a hole to sneak in and not finding a good one that didnt have employees watching near, i just walked around the car lot they had in front. this was the part before the entrance where they have full cars just for sale. they didnt really have anything appealing, except a '73 vw bug selling for $1000 "firm" (way overpriced) and an 80s 740gle.
then inside i see a volvo equalizer. i've been upgrading my stero for awhile (taking it from stock radio, 2 speaker system, to 4 speakers + 2 12" subs powered by blaupunkt) and i had been looking for an equalizer. but eq's are always so high priced. so i ripped it out, amazed at how easy it was, and put it in the tool bag and then put it in my car. the eq wasn't even hooking up, all the wires were coiled in zip ties, so i didnt get the chance to see where they go, plus i have no idea where they go. there is a black and a red wire which i'm most positive are the outputs for the speakers but theres this five spoked plug that i'm clueless as to what it goes into. i assume its the input... but what kind of adapter do i need.
does anyone have this equalizer? (EQ-611) i figured it came stock on the GLE, being it such a luxurious car (it also had a phone jack and something else--classy stuff). can anyone clue me in on how to set this up?
