intermittent engine shut off 700 1988

I posted a couple of weeks ago to say that intermittently the engine in my 740 just shuts off and then after waiting for 15-20 minutes it will start again. It can happen at any speed or while standing still. Fuel pump and radio suppression relays are about 2 years old. Power stage, air mass meter and idle air control less than a year old. Intermittent faults are just frustrating. Well, its finally not intermittent. It just failed. No spark. Turns out it was the Hall sensor. Replaced the distributor. Problem resolved. Thanks to all who made suggestions.
