Engine Swap 200

I am fixing up an 86' 245 DL and was wondering if it is possible to replace the b23f that it came with, with a b21fti from a 1983 turbo. I am having a hard time finding out how similar the two wiring harnesses are. If possible I would like to stay with the 86' harness because of the extra options the are already attached to it. I have also considered that the emissions produced by the b21fti will be different from the b23f but I will have to go to a garage to find out more about this in order to get it certified.

As an alternative I have another b23f out of a 1982 244 DL with very low kms. Would it be possible to drop this engine in the wagon and still keep the harness that the wagon came with?

Thanks ahead of time for your help.
