Contemplating 960 engine swap-???s about electrics 900 1992

OK, here's the deal…I just purchased a 92 960 wagon in great condition w/ a head gasket failure/overheated engine (the infamous 2.9 I6). I have a low mileage B23FT that has been patiently waiting for a new home. I've done some Volvo engine swaps before (B21FT into 260, etc.) but never done a more 'modern' car like this 960 with ABS, airbags, electronic controls for transmission, etc.

How difficult will all these electrical interfaces be? I will probably use an SDS injection and maybe ignition system so that will be relatively easy. What about the transmission. Does it have its own ecu? Any other issues I should be aware of? I know 960s have been used for V8 swaps so it can be done. and after reading the horror stories about the 2.9, i think I'll use it as a boat anchor or something. Anyone care to share their experience/wisdom? Thanks.
