pulling body panels 700

looking to fix a leak on my 1985 745t and wondering if you can just unbolt and pull the front body panels/fenders by undoung the bolts or if it is welded on.

basically, I think the vent near the driver's left foot may be leaking, but since its mounted to the inside of the wall it seems a waste of time to seal it from the inside; water would still just pull in the crack and seep in over time.

is this possible? I can see that there is the row of bolts under the hood edge, two bolts at the front of the driver's door, and some bolts to hold on plastic underguard and fender pieces around the wheel well.

any advice is appreciated.

thanks,
rt
